Simple plugin that disables XML-RPC, since it is enabled by default on WordPress 3.5 and above. It also removed references in the headers and in the body of the html.

Using The WordPress Dashboard
- Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
- Search for
disable-xml-rpc-fully - Click ‘Install Now’
- Activate the plugin on the Plugin dashboard
Uploading in WordPress Dashboard
- Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
- Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
- Select
disable-xml-rpc-fully.zipfrom your computer - Click ‘Install Now’
- Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard
Using FTP
- Download
disable-xml-rpc-fully.zip - Extract the
disable-xml-rpc-fullydirectory to your computer - Upload the
disable-xml-rpc-fullydirectory to the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard
